@Anonymous: Yes an lpg or cng kit can b transferred from one car to another. ..... rto fomalities hv to b gone thru again ...../ to cancel lpg from one car ...... and to add on another car ..........................also certain parts which r model specific need to b changed ................... costs all incl 5 to 7k..................therefore it makes more sense to sell th old kit at abt half its original price ,,,,,,, either with th car or even independentlyto 2nd hand kit buyers .... and instal new kit in th new car
@Rohit: Between cng and lpg ........ i wud anyday opt for lpg only ....... there r over 20 reasons why ..... but i'll cite just 1 ................ for th sake of a lil money, .....i cud never take a decision which wud make my family sit nxt to a cylinder which is carrying abt 250 kgs per sq cms pressure ! ! ..............and if that pressure is not frightening enuf by itself .................hear this ................. against th international safety norm of every tank to b tested at minimum 3 times (300%)th pressure of th gas ........... for th tank to b considered reasonably safe ........... our govt confirms that cng tanks r tested by it at 350 kgs only !
for those who may b curious ...... lpg pressure is a mere 7 kgs .... and lpg tanks r tested by th same govt at 30 kgs pressure
every tank carries a govt certificate of testing .... wot i hv stated above can b verified by anyone with any lpg cng dealer
