Btw if i compare Indica Vista with new swift diesel , which one is good in terms of mileage and looks (interior nd exterior).

Looks are personal and I would not comment on it. In terms of mileage also they rank almost identical

I could not agree more with Centaur.

Tata majorly uses its own DiCOR engine in most of their cars like Indica, Indigo CS, Safari and even Xenon XT which are supposed to be heavy duty cars/engines and so the people feel that they are noisy in their running after a few years. Yes one fact is that the diesel engines do generate more noise than petrol ones and you would see a slight increase in the engine noise after a few years but it not something that is limited to Tata engines or even only diesel engines for that matter,its a general thing that happens with every car.
