Go for Linea diesel. Its awsome car and with improved 2012 versionis u have added reward points.Am a proud linea MJD owner for last 2 1/2 years and love the car. The runours on ASC r just rumours by few handful owners that u will find with every manufacturers but Fiat has changed all the parts justified or not under warranrty without fuss. The ASS is good now and ofcourse u have to make it a point to check te car and thats goes for all manufacturers ASS.I have seen Maruti, Skoda, VW customers cribbing.

SO go ahead go for it.

got a quote from chevrolet for optra magnum diesel LT <highend version> after offers it comes around 10.3 L. Is that good to go over Linea 2012. <but will not have features like steering controls and usb option >

Pls comment on Mileage and its maintenance over to linea!!

Why are you considering almost a decade old car when you have better options present in the scenario.Since you have a budget of max. of 10.5 lakhs consider Skoda Rapid and Fiat Linea.Test drive both the cars and then decide. Both cars have its own positives and negatives so better go with the car which ticks most of your boxes.

PS: I am not cricising Chevy Optra but its only my opninion as I feel its quite old and urgently needs major upgrde though it still have a gem of an engine.

Cheers !!

The magnum diesel is way better than the linea in terms of performance but in terms of features its the other way round. So you need to decide if you want performance of features and choose accordingly.

An accident is generally the result of a screw loose in the nut behind the steering wheel

Out of all cars mentioned above , Optra Magnum is much better in terms of performance , space & ASS . But it is too old & even GM is not promoting it anymore . GM is not focussing on Optra so it is wise to stay away from it .

Optra Magnum - is a car that never loses its steam even at high revs and is a pleasure on the highway, but is sluggish for city driving due to its lag which can be irritating in stop & move traffic.

Linea - is excellent on highways - though not as superior as Optra - but is a pleasure to drive in city traffic too.

In terms of features, Linea is way ahead.

As other said, Optra is a gen behind.

Sunny is a spacious car but driveabiity and handling and suspension - not great - as per the reviews.

I enquired the Fiat owner they say less maintenance cost and engine is good. OPTRA magnum i feel its costlier base model dont have security features & Airbags.. Top end model LT 2.0 is approx 11.5 with offer for 30-40k it is around 11Lacs!

Pls comment on the Resale value!!

On resale value

Everyone expected initially that the differential in resale price between a Honda City and Linea Diesel will be high - which are of the same price at the time of purchase -due to the typically higher resale value enjoyed by City

But over the years, it has been found that Linea is also commanding a desnnet resale price andthough City quotes hgher the differential is not that high. You can check for yourself at Carwale Used Cars section or checking with few second hand dealers.

On Maintenance front - Linea has 15000 KMs service interval and spare parts are also cheap.  But service quality perception is different at different places.
