No offence meant but her requirements seems in contrast to what other women drivers generally have.

While you will get many options in the SUV segment as well my question is does she need it? Did you try reasoning out with her as to why she wants a three box car? Try finding that out in the first place.

She has a small car and i too have a i20 hence she wants a 3 box now.

My suggestions would be hatchback>sedan>SUV. If she is not interested in a hatch then I would suggest to opt for a sedan only by all means. Also do check with her on the new verna fluidic or the fiesta. These are newly launched cars and might grab her attention. If she likes the city I think she is more interested in the design and I think there is an 80% probability of the verna passing her test. Just take a chance,

Well now she has asked me to check on the etios diesel!

Arup I would seriously suggest that you sit with her one day and get her preferences and what she is looking for in the car or what she expects out of the car. The reason I say this is that the etios and vento/city as almost at the opposite end of the spectrum. It is very important to know what she is actually expcting in the car. List out the preferences, budget, usage and likes/dislikes. Based on that you can shortlist.

The Swift Diesel or the SX4 Diesel seem to be great fits depending on your budget. Even the Accent CRDi is not a bad choice at the price

we are speaking of new cars here and not used ones. The Accent CRDi is no longer in production

Thanks Guys!

Finally managed to convince her to decide on a car! She has chosen the Vento Trendline Diesel (metallic color)

I have a quote from Volkswagen which puts the base price at 873,012. But www.carsingh.com shows a base price of 819,913... A difference of nearly 55k.

Can someone help me with understanding this?

Regards,

Arup

Carsingh.com? There are chances that the website is not updated for the new prices. Did you check it on carwale?
