MS Ertiga revealed!

When Xylo was launched, it was seen as a Innova killer but gradually we realised that it was not even close to Innova in terms of comfort, refinement, driving pleasure etc.

It will be hard to really comment without taking a TD but since it will come with the Fiat Multijet engine with 90 hp power , its refinement level will be atleast better than Xylo, Sumo, Scorpio if not better than Innova.

If they price it at 7.99 lakh ex showroom for their base diesel version which they should, it should see success. Anything more will be a dissapointment !!

Speculations are that the base petrol version will be around 7 Lakhs and top end deisel will be around 9 Lakhs. However, the question again is, which segment will it really target? If it is the taxis, then it is extremely difficult to imagine how it can displace Innova, Tavera and Xylo. If it is for personal use, then it still has to beat Innova, which will be really tough.

Only way it can create a place for itself is, if the pricing is much more aggressive than the currently speculated 7-9 lakhs. In my opinion it has to be around 50K lesser than this for price to play a role.
