In my case, the buyer was a known person and has a garage right opposite to my house. Moreover he took the car for his use and not for resale. So transfer would be done shortly and it is his responsibility to get things done. Speaking on legal terms, I have a delivery note of the car and the purchase receipt. So, in case of any problem, you can use the delivery note as proof of sale. This is for my state. Regarding offers, corporate offer plus cash discount. In addition to it, standard package of mats, mud flaps, car care kit, sunfilm(which I refused), underbody coating, teflon(refused), usb adapter for audio system are being offered.

As I know the dealer, I have told them not to get the car despatched from the factory. The despatch will be done in second week of january and I shall take delivery in the third or fourth week only. Have booked Blue Vxi.

If you have only specified the terms of despatch from the factory, they could still ship a december 2011 made car in January 2012. I think you need to specify you want a 2012 manufactured car. I got my i20 crdi on Sept 30th and the manufactured date was August 2011.

in cases where petrol cars are readily available, they will try max to push existing stock so be specific in your demand.

My used santro was Dec 2002 made & registered in Jan 2003 by first owner. While selling to me this was highlighted as 2003 car but when I gave it for exchange this year, it was argued as 2002 car.Undecided However, I still stuck to my demand so I guess this is no issue really, but still go for a Jan 2012 manufactured car!

Arun, its not a difficult thing to refuse the car alloted. Also, first thing I will do in pdi is look for the manufacturing date. So, if the condition is not to my satisfaction then the dealership guys had it from me! So no problem with that. They very well know what I am and hence dont play around!

One more thing, the m800 is actually my fathers and he has passed away, and car is registered to his name. So if i were to sell car to another person, should i have to first convert to my name and then give it, or let the buyer directly convert to his name.

Or some documents need to be given ?

Cause I dont want to give legal heir certificate or other docs to some unknown person

Yes Peter, Like any property the car registration needs to be transfered to successor before selling it.
