Hello Guys,

I've booked Jazz Select (Rally Red) . It wasn't possible to wait. The dealer said that now red car can be delivered in 3 months and the UT color will require more time. Earlier it was reverse. Since i've selected select version it does not come with fog lamps so i was planning to add the same. The below site from Magnum Honda says it costs 15750/- for the front ones.

Select the car type as Jazz to see the accessories. Other Honda model accessories are also available

Source : Magnum Honda

  • My question are these really costly or its just honda is charging more.
  • Can we have after market fitment. If yes will it void the warranty.
  • How effective are they are they really required.

I'm preparing my ground work before i get the car delivery. So guys plz help..

The above prices are due to the fact that the lamps are imported. Same is the case with other cars if the kit is imported. You can go aftermarket, but I doubt you will get the same quality and brightness from the stock location. If you can, do check out who the manufacturer of these lamps are. Then you might be able to source it outside if its a local manufacturer. Btw Magnum honda eh? Did you enquire there?

Its a Honda accessory & companies/dealers charges lot of premium over these things. I've heard that dealers also fit aftermarket Fog lamps that costs somewhat around 6-7k. You should ask your dealer about the same.

Where did you book the Jazz, I mean the dealer? Was it Deccan Honda or some other dealer? What was the deal on the whole? Any freebies/accessories? Just trying to get some data so that others also can benefit if they plan to by a Jazz

@sanshrinand: I just used this site for getting the accessories cost.

@Centaur: Have booked at Crystal Honda. No freebies he is saying its a hot selling car so will not be giving any discount. Even not a corporate discount. Will check if i can get @ deliverry time.

@Arnv : I've asked dealer he quoted 25K.

Guys a car accessories shop in Pune "Carax" representative said that he can put the same imported kit in 5K. He said these are the same that Honda adds. Carax is a good shope i've done 4 cars there of my friends.

If i go for off market would it void warranty and would an after market fog lamp need wire cutting in main harness. ?

If its the same kit, then I dont think there is a problem, and also that the dealer himself wouldn't make it out. Just verify it before you get it installed and make sure all the wiring, switch etc look the same. Aftermarket lamps end up with getting switches of the truck era such as push-pull or those household kinda switches. Make sure you get a toggle switch at least, for looks' sake.

@vaibhav-did you ask specifically for aftremarket ones?? You might want to try with other dealers cause some dealers do aftermarket fittings & it'll give you peace of mind.

@Arnv : I've not asked any dealer for after market fitment.

@All : My question is if i get the lights at some after market accessories shop with the same specs would it still void the warranty as the dealer will know it since it's a select and the car does not come with them and also not installed at the dealer place.

Any idea about the illuminated step garnish cost. The same site i quoted said 8200/- is it for one or set of 4

Aftermarket one will costs somewhat around 3k & only the front ones are illumuinated, rear ones are plane. Though you can get all 4 illuminated in market but will cost you bit more.

And it is a set of 4 of which front ones are illuminated only.
