Huge dilemma - preowned or a new alto

@rohit.b.d. and arnv, I don't hate nano, just that I can't imagine myself driving a 600 CC 37 bhp car.

 About the brake problem, shall I be worried about it ?? Because dent on the bonnet and these brakes, might not be just a coincidence. It could be a persistent problem also.

He renewed the insurance in Oct itself. But how do I check insurance history ?

And yeah, I'll negotiate for about 5k more citing the dent.

I would suggest you to take the car to Maruti..ask therir service guy to do a thorogh test..obviously the owner should agree to it..

Also, just take down the car no and go to the Maruti..they will tell you the service history...also take down the insurance no..call the insurance comp, and similarly ask what all claims have been made so far...

last but not the least, ..listen to your inner voice and try to trust the owner as well...

The deal fell through  
The alto owner was getting a honda city from one of his friend by selling his alto. But when he was coming back from Chennai on this ANHC, he unfortunately met an accident. So, now he thinks that, that ANHC is not auspicious or something like that. So he's put off his plans to sell his alto.
   So, now I couldn't search any more old alto's as it is too time consuming. And, as I needed  a car as soon as possible, I've booked a new alto k10 today and also paid all the money as they had one superior in their yard. Probably, if everything goes smooth, I can get the delivery by Saturday.
