I am assuming that you have misplaced the duplicate key since two keys are issued as standrd.

IMO, the only option is to check with the dealer/ASC who will get it from the manufacturer using the id number in your key. Anyother option will not work since this is an inherent safety feature of newer cars these days (car will start only with the given key). I think even for a new key, some programming will have to be done or you will have to get two new as set.

In the meantime, pls take care not to damage your existing key by giving to any roadside key makers.

I think it is safer if you invest in a new set of keys since the dealer may have retained the duplicate. Safer side.

Call the nearest hyundai dealer and ask for the cost of the key set. I will not advise anyother source. i think the modern car keys are not easy to duplicate. In my new i20, I was told that the car will start with only the factory made keys that come with the car due to some sensor (??) I think.

If the duplicate is possible and not done properly it could cause scratches in your ignition and thereby spoil the original key function. I think it is good to invest in a new set of keys for such a good car.

all the best.

one more thing I would like to share with you, that in case of car theft (I do not wish so Wink) you would not get the full claim from insurance company as you have only one key, so better to get new set of keys.
