hello,

After how many years or kilometers do we need to replace tyres. Is there any indication on tyres for deciding on a replacement.

Any other tips on achieving longevity for tyres..

The thumb rule is 4-5 years OR 45000-50000kms.Yes look at small buttons in betwen the tyre grooves/treads.If your tread has reached that level then change the tyres.

Keep proper tyre pressure, check once a month,do tyre rotation & wheel alingnement & balancing once every six months.

Thanks! Vishal,

This was for Swift (petrol) and I hope the above is true for radial tyres?

Car has reached 23000 kms and 4.5 yrs of service, the service guy has asked for a replacement. No tyre rotations done yet.
