dear all,

In my i20 crdi, the driver seat is not directly in front/line with the steering. The seat is slightly placed to the left away from the door.

what i mean is, when you sit behind the wheel, you find that the steering is slightly placed to the right.

Has anyone noticed this or are my eyes crooked?Undecided

Dear Arun D

Dont just believ eyes. Our sight meaures w.r.t the surroundings. Take a Long measuring scale. Place it exactly on the centre of steering wheel. Forward it towards seat. It should reach up to exact centre of the seat. If not you right. Show this to ASS.

If the steering is not placed exactly in front of driver seat, this will not be something the dealer (ASSC) can rectify or needs to be rectified. It would be the design and probably have a reason like to give the drive comfortable space so his right elbow doesnot keep hitting the right inner door handle. (in my old santro, I used to hit my right elbow of the door quite often - though it was not a problem.

I just wanted to highlight this and get others' views. I too will do some measuring to confirm this.
