Yes, No need to worry too much about the run-in periods these days

  1. The engine quality in itself is much better than old times
  2. There is a proper testing and also some running of the car before it is delivered. this takes care of very first runs before the car delivery. So the customer and can simply drive normally from day 1.

But yes, one should adhere to speed limits and avoid running on high RPMs for any car; new or old. That puts extra stress on the engine. Ideally, try to maintain 1000 to 2500 RPM. Ocassionally taking it to 3000 or 3500 is also OK in fifth gear.

3500 in fifth gear might translate to a very high speed for the car (above 100 Km/hr or so?)

For a petrol car, yes 3.5k Rpm is somewhere around more than 100kph, but for a diesel, its even more.

Which is the best battery for swift VDI, as my old one has allready done 65000KM, now in morning it creating some problem in starting.
