CNG Conversion in my New Swift LXI 2011 Old Model. Please advice

I am from Hyderabad. I am having Swift ZXI Model 2007. I would like convert into CNG.

Can any one let us now cost for converting car to CNG and precautions also.

As  of now i am getting 17 KMPL on High way if i fitted CNG what will be a mileage increase or decrease or 17KMPL.

I also own Swift Zxi, 2008 model. Ours is not a Kseries Engine. So go with Closed Loop Lovato Kit. Sequential kit is very costly n not required for our cars. Closed loop kit is the best. My earlier mileage with petrol was 9-10 in city n 12-15 on highway. Now, it is 22-25 on Highway n around 18-19 in city.

Your mileage will definetly increase with cng but there r chances of your petrol mileage decreasing by 10% depending upon your kit. Please ensure u have lamda n tap.

Precaution: u just have to use your petrol once every two or three days for around 2-3 kms. Get it done from an expert n these people will guide you. 

I have done it from Zero Pollution in Mumbai, n satisfied with his service. Cost of conversion was Rs. 37,000/- with 2 years service.

Pl refer my earlier post no 21, 23. Go for close loop plus lambda, tap,obdi. It will cost around 30k with 65 ltr cylender. Regarding milage it will be 1.5 times of your petrol milage. In your case it will be not less then 25.5 km/kg. All the best.

My car will be use for Highway to small town.In Small town there is no CNG . CNG is available in Metro cities only.

Can you please let us now tank capacity of your kit.

Tank is of 14 kg and its capacity is of 10 kg max. depeding on the pressure of the gas in the filling station.

At an average, i get around 8.5 to 9 kg gas. 

hi, i am using one year old ritz lxi i want to convert it into cng.

i heard that conventional cng kit is not working for k series 1.2 liter engine?

should i spent for sequential ?

or lovato for you plus kit will work?

Hi Brijesh you should go ahead and spend for sequential Kit and in ritz lovato will not work in conventional, you should go for Genuine Tommasetto for that and no other kit.

I have converted my Swift Zxi, 2008 model to a closed loop Lovato kit with Lamba & tap on Dec, 2011 at Zero pollution Kandivali West, Mumbai and now Iam facing few problems with it.

1. After few kms, the car vibrates (the interior wobbles) when i drive on CNG. i have to take the car to the mechanic there, he does some tuning and then its fine again. But, the third day it happens again. So i have to drive back again and get the tuning done. This has become a regular process now & very frustating. The mechanic says, yeh toh hota rehta hai, is it ???

2. There are, at times while driving on CNG, when the brakes are applied, the car stops and i have to restart it again. Again, no specific answer from the mechanic !!!

3. the Check engine light is always ON with CNG. is it for all the car ???

4. Also the car has become more bouncier. The rear passengers always complain about the car not being very smooth. My tyre pressure with Nitrogen is 34.

Guys please help me with a solution or also suggest me a genuine mechanic or a CNG dealer in Mumbai who can solve this issue. I stay at Malad West.
