Does Swift new Zxi (petrol) have that much waiting period? Or is it for diesel? By the way, take a close look at the new swift before going ahead with it. Though some of the features are good, I did not find it much better than old Swift. And I am not comfortable with the rear lights which appear to project a bit and look vulnerable.

Swift Diesel has a long waiting period ie. nearly 4-6 than the petrol (2-3 months). This is all due to hike in petrol price. But recently a dealer in my town said me that Maruti Suzuki is trying to reduce the waiting period for the new Swift by reducing its exports to Hungary. The waiting period for the new swift also depends on which variant you are choosing along with the paint colour. If you are opting for a rarely used paint colour then your waiting period will be longer.
