yes Jay. we are talking about only cash discount and its the same for both of us 10k. i got all the discounts you have mentioned except exchange bonus. and one more thing, dealer said i would be getting corporate bonus of arnd 5k, but on the delivery day he gave only 3k. and i was not in a mood to argue and i had let it go... and i also compared the discounts for last month and current month. NO CHANGE!

hi,

Did you happen to find a central locking system for the Punto active anywhere outside the showroom in Hyd.

If so do let me also know the same as i have one and i am not interested in giving 11K to the showroom guy.

Central locking system (CLS) for FIAT will be done only by the showroom guys. I tried in vain to have the CLS outside. Workshop people said CLS, if installed, may not work properly all the times. I would suggest you better go with the Tata Dealer. Infact i am planning to get it installed this week.

its good to put a good central locking system from the company and be tension free rather than cursing the car later if something goes wrong with / due to an aftermarket product.

after all every manufacturer uses different mechanisms, relays and switches, connection with ECU etc. so there is an increasing complexity.

finding the right parts and a good aftermarket fitter is also troublesome.

Diwakar - I've picked up some FIAT accessories and you can find a whole host of other bits and pieces on the website there. I'm not sure about shipping, but it can give you a good idea on genuine parts and model numbers out there.
