Hi,

I recently had a scary experience with my nephew and the power window button. Though the power windows lock button is there, my whole family wanted to keep opening and closing the windows to throw stuff they were eating Yell.

Anyways I wanted to know in Bangalore if there is any good place where I can retro fit the anti-pinch feature to all my car doors. What will be the approximate price.

I stay in Bangalore. I have a maruti ritz ZXI which has the factory fitted power windows for all 4 windows. Is there MGA (Maruti Genuine Accessories) available for this and what will be the price of MGA part?

Information on this will be useful as I am planning to get it fit in the next service due in the next week.

Regards,

Sharath

If I guess correctly, you are looking for express up and express down feature? If its the one then its called "Up module" and "Down module". It is available with any accessory shop and costs around 2-3k.

However, throwing eatables and wastes on open road is not advisable and could be quite risky sometimes. Please avoid doing so and also educate others about the same.

Hmmm. Not sure. I think the Up Module and Down Module basically acts as a one touch up and down feature for the windows. I would like the window to stop rolling up as soon as it encounters an obstruction (Like a finger or hand) and roll back down.

There is an option, that is If available, to change the whole power window setup to an after market one which supports this option. This will turn out to be expensive and difficult to source, but thats the only solution AFAIK. Its better to lock the windows when there are kids and also, while rolling up or down, give a warning to the respective passenger. This will be a simpler method.
