Hi Yadvender. I have a 2003 accent. My car has also clocked over 1lac kms. I too am considering a cng conversion. Did some research on it.  Saw an amazing sight yestrday. An accent which had run 2lac kms was being fitted with a cng kit. Even the guy doing the fitting was amazed. the car was in great condition. I drive in Mumbai. My daily running is 35 kms. even with that Im assured to recover the cost of the kit (30k) within 6 months. Im not sure how You concluded that it'll take you 2-3years to recover the costs. I enquired from guys driving accents on cng. have been told there aint any major issues. I'd appreciate if u'd let me know of any genuine input from someone who has actually done the conversion. Thanks

Gaurav

HI Everybody,

Yesterday i visted Shakti Enterprise at Borivli West (Near Gokul Hotel). As per him i should go in for a coventaionl CNG kit with timing advancer for 32000 INR against sequential kit for my car which has already run 116000 KMS and even had a overhaul at 74000 KMS.

He has pruposed me to fit the kit and run it for a month, if i dont like it he will take the kit back no money spent and no questions asked.

He does not suggest me sequential kit as he says it is only ment for EURO 4 engines and mine is EURO 2

As per him even if i sell my kit back to him after an year or so i will recover atleast 15000 INR of my costs. Moreover i can even transfer the kit to another car of mine if need be.

I need your expert advice, as i got almost sold by his talks which even made sense many a times.

Awaiting your replies.

Regards

- Yadvender Kanwar

Hi I installed LPG kit in my Accent petrol 2005 model (Raghav lpg GO gas kit with lamda) at 50000KM. It is running fine and I when fill domestic LPG cylinder(14.5kg) it gives me 270KMs on an average earlier it was giving 12km/ltr on petrol. Will there be any problem in filling domestic cylinder in my car? Now on my suggestion one of my friend wants to install the same kit in his i10 kappa1, can he go ahead with it?

You will have no problem with CNG kit if fitted properly. It will also increase resale value of your car when you sell it
