Dear Friends,

I received my RC book yday by post. But it has wrongly enterred Hyundai I10 instead of my I20.

Also my address is B/302 but they hav mentioned B/30

I went to my dealer (Krishna Motors, Mulund Mumbai) but they raised their hands saying their documents are correct and its RTOs mistake.

please advise what can I do in this case.

Also one advice : Please do not deal with Krishna Motors, Mulund West ever. They have a knack of troubling customers after you pay your money.

Do not panic

You just have to visit your RTO office and fill a simple form of address updation. It would be done in 20-30 day max.

Fees i paid was rupees 200 only for updating address, though it was DL.

Please do not go through agents.

@Vinay - sorry to know about your plight but the people at RTO offices are sometimes real clumsy oafs. Even for my vehicle they have wrongly written the manufacturing year as 2000 while the vehicle has come into production itself in 2008. I too did check with an agent and they said that we need to fill the correction form and get it updated like Prashant has pointed. The correction/updation has charges associated to it as well - I guess its somethingbetween 500-1000 bucks.

One more thing is ask the dealer to show the copy of the papers he has submitted to the RTO. Check and see if the dealer has goofed up somewhere.
