Hi,

I appreciate the effort put by the people in launching this great website where in people like us who care for money and car can share the thoughts.

I own a Santro XG Oct 2004 Model , done 31500 KM. Recently i realised that slowly and gradually the service cost from Authorised service center cost's a lot of money( Rs 2500/- in delhi). It was a generall service, with no replacement at all(lucky me)

Now i've planned to service thru a local mechanic. NEED your verdict on what all i need ( like oils, filters, if any supplements) to get the service done on my own & WHICH brand shall i go for. ALSO someone suggested me for ENGINE FLUSHING , what is it & is it necessary for my car?

Please Suggest

Regards,
Nitin Jain

hi nitin..well that was a very question.... Banwari Sir, i wud like to add on to Nitin's question......... d Question is....... in order to keep a car "healthy n fit" to the max... should one always go to the Authorized Service centre or not ?... Nobody wants to save a few bucks and cut the life of the car...,but the other thing is that do these Authorized service centers actually help in the long run or is it just lik a brand-mark....which charges u more..n den provides u an AC Lounge n complimentary snacks wen we get are cars serviced ??...
