No yr.. I dint find that thread.. I searched it in Spares n Accessaries segment but there was no reply by Ashish on spoiler..

Spoiler is nothing but an extra fitment, fixed at the rear of a vehicle. For usual passenger cars, the spoiler accentuates the look of the car. It also has got a technical reason behind, it improves the aerodynamics of a car by spoiling the unfavourable air movement and due to which the car remains pressed to the ground thus giving more grip. But this comes into effect only at higher speeds - for e.g in  formula one racing.

ya..so for us ...(for ppl like u n me u are not into "Fast n Furious" type off speeds) .....the SPoiler is only for style....

A spoiler is an accessory which balances the vehicle and does not let the vehicle get flight at high speeds (speed above 100 kmph) But as per its name it spoils the lower and back side of the Spoiler with so much dust that it looks as if the vehicle has come from some cross country rally. This happens because all the air faced by the vehicle is attracted towards spoiler and thrown backwards. (We can say that a spoiler is the exhaust of the vehicle for air faced by the vehicle) A spoiler helps you vehicle remain steady and stay on ground at higher speeds.

Secondly, The material out of which a spoiler is made is of light gray colour (original material color at Hyundai) which is a very good quality material and the Hyundai dealer paints it to the car color with quality paint used in its car and the shape of spoiler at Hyundai dealers is technically suitable to the Hyundai vehicle it is made for. Thus purchasing from Hyundai is much better option. And you should also be aware that companies in vehicle business surely do have great profit margins BUT they also supply good quality accessories (Especially Hyundai accessories are too much better in quality than Maruti accessories). Thus if you want to have good quality material and paint, perfect desing and fitting and are ready to spend something more than you should purchase from Hyundai dealer.

But on road cars do spoilers help because they are alresdy stable i.e dunno need so much ground force and split seconds difference doesn't matter.....I myself drove civic at a speed of 193 Kmph but it was without spoiler....On road cars it just a mere attraction(for looks).......

No no Getz spoiler is around 7500 If you want to buy from showroom, even I have tried.
Now I put the spoiler avallable outside for my new prime. it looks cool, but showroom spoiler is 1000percent better then the spoiler available outside, The LED light is enough to differentiate quality b?w two...
