I want to move my car from Hyderabad to Chandigarh for 6months.

Can i pay a roaa tax from 6months or 1year and drive peacefully.

NOC required from Hyderabad?

In case I want to stay more than 1year in Chandigarh what has to be done? should I re-register the car. The NOC from AP will be valid for how many months?

Any NOC throught India would be valid for 1 year. If you want to stay more, you would need to re-register your car in that city.

@Prashant - are you sure the NOC is valid for a year? AFAIK its 3-6 months, not more but I may be wrong.

@Sandeep - you can pay the road tax and drive if it is for 6 months or so. I would suggest you check with an agent in Chandigarh before doing anything as they can give you the complete picture of it.

NOC is valid for 1 year.

We had a session with RTO officials in our company & this was the one of the question asked, though 2 years back

Thanks for the info. I just hope it has not changed in these 2 years
