Hi,

Copy of RC book ( i think you refer that as blue book, quite ironically in Andhra they refer it as 'C' Book and in Tamilnadu they refer it as 'RC' book , no info about other states), tax paid info is part of the 'RC' book in Chennai and also you need to carry a copy of Insurance and DL. That's it.

I took copies of these and left it in my car boot, so whenever asked to shown i can just open up my boot and show it to the traffic cops.

Originals are not needed to carry while travelling inside city, but i believe if one is travelling from state to state then originals are needed.

MODS and other gurus , need your valuable comments

Yes Surya. You are correct. However there are cities where original document are required even if you have the car from same state/city.

I think the Xerox attested copies are acceptable to every were in the form of the document. So that will be the good option to have the Xerox copy in attested format to keep original without any damage to it.
