Yes, A gradient of about one lakh from one version to another is too huge. That will make the sales of the top end model that much more challenging. It now looks like, they kept the price of the base version quite low to get some attention, while they hope to sell more of higher versions by converting those who would enquire about it. But I do not think this will quite work well.

Nissan Sunny has been launche on 20 September, 2011. There were talks about the price of Nissan Sunny which will fall in between 7 lakhs to 9 lakhs but launching of Nissan Sunny has surprised everyone by it's price as it is Rs. 5.78 lakhs for the lowest end model XE. The price of Nissan Sunny XL model is 6.68 lakhs and for Nissan Sunny XV is 7.68 lakhs.

Now they have launched diesel variant . Just read it today in newspaper . It is priced Rs 878000/- & Rs 798000/- ( Ex showroom Delhi ) for XV & XL versions. XV is fully loaded . It is powered by 1461 cc diesel engine producing 86 bhp at 3750 rpm  &  200 nm of torque at 2000 rpm . They are claiming 21.64 kmpl fuel efficiency . Both versions are having ABS + EBD + BA as well as 2 air bags . Also steering mounted audio controls are common for both versions.

Very true. It was launched yesterday. between they have only 2 variants for the diesel sunny? The petrol atleast has 3.

YUp.!! But they have priced it on higher side IMO. Should have it priced the starting one at 720000/- or so then it would have taken their sales chart high. Have seen only one Sunny till date here in Delhi.
