Help car in built navigation !!!!

Hi all,

I am new to this forum and I have many hope that I wil lget answers soon.

I have Dapic KX 9550NB Car Entertainment System with GPS. They have provided with Antenna and other things. But they told me that I need SD card for maps to use GPS system.

I am very confuse that how I can get Maps from and how I can install?

I want Maps for India and I only know Mapmyindia which have very good maps for India.

I just need to know step by step how to get software / maps and how to place and install in SD card so that I can have it working.

Please help me.

Hi,

I don't have much idea about the dapic system, but i have mapmyindia maps installed in my mobile. The features and navigation will be same i think.

Since you have a gps device, you have two options for purchasing maps i.e

1. you can pay online and download the maps fro their site and the will provide the registration information to activate the maps.

2. You can buy maps pre installed and activated on a SD card.

I think 2nd option will suit you best as the maps are pre activated and you just have to plug in the memory card slot and start using them.

As far as using the maps, its really very easy. You will understand how to use within 5 minutes.

If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

BTW, how much does this dapic system costs.

Thanks a lot So I just need to insert the card na ? N ya any specfic card ? 1gb will do ? Dapic cost me around 14000

Yes any card if fine. 1 gb is enough as the maps and software is less than 450 mb.

i saw a ritz vxi model car with gps navigation screen attached to the dash board.....i enquired the price. he replied jst 7k
