Skoda Spare Parts Price List REASONABLE PRICE??

Need Advice?? How are the Skoda Spare parts compared to other manufacturers??

AFAIK, if you are looking for Skoda Fabia, as it seems from your other posts, you can go ahead as Skoda has started getting parts made locally in India, specially for fabia and their price are quite reasonable when compared to its competitors now. Earlier it was not the case. However, you may have to pay one or two peny more than what you spend in a typical maruti, tata or hyundai workshop due to brand name. Thats all.

The Autocar page handed by Satguru Skoda to you is actually 2010 data. They gave the same to me last year when I contacted them regarding Fabia for a collegue. I have the full pdf of that article which compares all vehicles that were present in 2010.

yaa that autocar pdf is also mailed to me n i have also asked him to give me the parts price list issued by skoda  so he mailed me that too.

have you bought fabia ? i am planning to buy. is maintenance is costly? whats the minimum charges the cost.

We didn’t opt for Fabia due to following reasons:

1. Low GC – The car scraped its underbelly many times during TDs.

2. Reliability issues with 1.2 TDI and 1.2 MPI 3 cylinders and subsequent incompetence of dealers to resolve the issues – Read many User reviews on Carwale as well as Team-BHP about engine issues in aforesaid 3 cylinders. The 4 cylinders (1.6 TDI, 1.6 MPI and higher are reliable IMO)

3. Doubts regarding service Quality of Satguru Skoda – There is a post by “kmudra” on carwale (He is also from Indore) regarding pathetic service accorded to him for his superb. When I contacted Satguru regarding same, they said that Mr. Mudra is defaming them since they have confiscated his Laura (Not Superb) as he had not paid the full amount for the car. I am not sure which side is correct. It raises doubts though.

Any reasons for opting for Fabia? Maintenance is not costly vis-a-vis other cars. Skoda products are high tech and thus if any snag develops the dealers are incompetent to handle them and advise part change (sometimes incorrectly).

N.B: Even I have a thing for Skoda cars especially Laura. It makes me go weak in the knees whenever I see it.

@Utkarsh Prices are reasonable vis-a-vis other cars of its category like i20 or Swift etc.

As you said while TD car scraped but when I TD 2nd time I told Sales person that I want to drive offroad he told me that there is no offroad here but after driving I saw a offroad situation on left side, then I turned to that way and I am Satisfied with that even i20 doesn't have that much GC. Sales person told me that he will give discount of 40k and the price is 5.83 lac and after discount it will be 5.43 lac on 1.2 petrol.

Today I called satguru skoda for mail me the service detail and he mailed me. As per your feed back and the service details I decided to go with i20 and I booked it today and the dealer (harsh hyundai) told me to call tomorrow and let me know about the delivery date. This will be my first car and I dont want to take any risk. and which car you are using ?

By the way you are opting for petrol or diesel.

Harsh people would like to clear their old stock IMO that's why they may be tight lipped.

I go through your link.

Harsh sales manager said that he is ordering 3 i20 magna's and said that when they get the delivery they will call me of, they didn't tell me any detail about the facelift model. At the time of booking he said that is having black colour not the white.

And today I talked the sales executive about the facelift she denies that, even I called at kasliwal their sales executive has also denied about i20 facelife.

sarthak can you please confirm me from harsh and kasliwal about that, so I make my desicion.
