Diesel Engine Noise?

Hi,

Is it true that Diesel engines noise increases as it ages, which in turn would affect the in-cabin noise?

Yes thats true. But now a days there are many refined diesel engines available in the market, like CRDi etc.

 i have also heard that diesel engines does not last long as like petrol engines...is that true???...what about the current refined engines....?????

Its the other way around. Diesels are built stronger and heavier than petrols siply to handle the higher compression and resulting power stroke that results from it. That is also one reason why they are more expensive.
