Unfortunately no Rohit. If my memory is not failing me you had given some example in the one I am speaking about. Will check on a holiday to see if I can find it.

I scanned your 3400 around posts but could not find the thread/postFrown. Looks like I will have search for your posts in threads related to torque/power and probably then I will strike gold.

An accident is generally the result of a screw loose in the nut behind the steering wheel

Sridhar, let it be. Its probably buried somewhere really deep. Sometime someone might eventually find it. Till then let's keep making up new replies ;-)

S = k.I^2, where S is the amount of stupidity a species possesses, I is the intelligence the species has and k is the universal constant of stupidity.

Interesting topic!

Rohit your explaination good but i was not able to get in completely,

I have a query here

Optra Magnum is a 2.0 engine with 121 PS of power and produces 320 Nm of torque and fuidic has 1.6  engine with 128 PS of power and produces 260 NM of torque.

I have driven both of them and felt optra has a very good pickup than verna but when we look at the PS its verna which has more power, so is it that torque is what define pickup.

Your help would really be appreciated.

Thanks

Its not that simple - it also depends upon the gearing of the vehicle - i.e., the gear ratios that it uses. For example an innova has much better pick-up than a scorpio which has a similarly sized engine (both diesel).
