I understand that, taxes are high in Bangalore. But i feel, the difference in On-road price is way too steep.
Example: The all new swift zdi comes around 6.96lakh on-road in Noida but it comes around 7.74lakh on-road in bangalore.

It is 80K extra. That i feel is too huge Innocent. Even in chennai, it is sold around 7.47lakhs on road.

So why so high in Bangalore?
Also the petrol/diesel prices are also highest in Bangalore.

The cost of owning a car in Bangalore should be the highest across INDIA i guess.

Even after paying so much, what we Bangaloreans get is pathetic roads to say the least... Just take your drive in Outer-Ring road and i am sure you know what i am talking...

Is there anything Bangaloreans can do about this?

MODS: Please move it to different Forum, if RTO Juntion is not appropriate for this.

I completely agree with you. I moved from Blr to Noida and while I do miss my hometown the one thing I enjoy in Noida/Delhi is the relatively low cost of fuel and vehicle purchase vis a vis Bangalore.

The state government is responsible for the cost of octroi and registration attached to the purchase of a vehicle as  well as levying various cesses and surcharges on fuel . Why ?? Probably greed I guess
