Well not really. I just asked it because I remember a month or two back, the prices in Hinjewadi were lesser than the city rates. Just wanted to know if you filled from the Shell pump in Hinjewadi

Yes they are lesser by few paise since the pumps in Hinjewadi area comes outside the Octroi limit.

Its not a few paise but I guess more than a rupee or so. I am not there presently else would have confirmed the city and hinjewadi rates. Maybe you can check with any of your friends who works in hinjewadi

Better I travel there next weekend & get it filled

First get it checked and then calculate if it will earn you any profit driving down to Hinjewadi, filling up and coming back just to ensure that it deosnt become another example of peny wise pound foolish.

No this may not be in my case since I travel thorugh Hinjewadi road almost every weekend since my parents stay in Kothrud. Its just a matter of 2 Extra Kms for me. So even if I save few pasie per ltr I usually do a tankfull of about 30 + ltrs. The main pain area is if my car gets a reserve symbol in mid week then I have to do tankfull on the Shell which is on route to my office. So lets see how things match up.

New rates for Shell PCMC area - 74 for normal unleaded petrol.

Shell has ncreaed the petrol prices & is now at 77 Rs/ Ltr. I guess its the time to shift back to normal one (though I hate to do this)

Looking at the shell rate finally filled up at IOC pump and was happy to see the rate of 71.43. Hope the quality should be equally good.
