Hi Arun

All the best and post your experience too . Rs 6900 is a very good amount , probably you can put seat covers or Sun film etc . Money saved is worth money earned .

Regards

Mathew

Its better to prepare and prevent than to repair and repent :)

Absolutely right the delear has quoted me a insurance premium of Rs.26K for which i clearly said No No... Later i've got the quotations from 3 vendors Bajaj Allianz/Reliance/HDFC ERGO. For which Bajaj Allianz has offered the least of Rs.16.8K 0% Depp, cashless. if i pay additional Rs.1500 i will get 24/7 Road side assistance and towing and all for free 1 year, also if i pay with my HDFC/CITIBANK credit card 6 emis with 0% interest. Regarding the Temp Reg delear asked for Rs.1000/- for that for which i told him the charges are only Rs.300/- told him will not be paying single penny extra.

Hi Keyan thanks for writing

Please find the details of the document that is there in my thread, documents that u require during the registration are Form 20 , Form 21 and Form 22, Temp Regn Papers, ID Proof Add Proof, DD from the bank.

As for as the process to be followed is:

Get the exact Tax Amount Quote from the delear/ RTO+10% Cess added, take a DD of the same amount from the bank any bank u can take, for koramangala RTO adjacent to the BDA Complex u have Karnataka Bank u can take it there, go as early as possible cos no token system in the bank so fill up the DD Challan in the cash counter get the DD done from the Bank.

Now come back to the RTO u will find lot of Agents voluntering themself to get ur work done, dont entertain them, at the RTO entrance u will find the May i help u desk get all ur form placed correctly by that guy in the counter he will place the forms in order and let u know the counter. 1st u need to take the Form-14 and fill up the details the person will verrify other forms and write the Tax Amount on the Form-14, make sure u get the correct quote from the delear pay the DD in the Cash Counter its on the Right Side, a wooden cabin. Now a inpector will be coming and u need to park ur vehicle on the BDA premises (i,e) backside near that police station and he will ask u to take the trace of the chassis number and he will sign on it and its done. Forgot to tell u that as ur doing it on urself u need to attach a self addresed Registred Post envelope which is available in ground floor stationary shops it will be sent to u in a week. One more thing if ur vehicle is on Loan from Bank/NBFC Form-34 will be applicable to u which should be made in duplicate. This is not my registration process my niece has got her vehicle regn done in koramangala. I belong to Jayanagar RTO. No body will ask u any bribe we din pay a single penny to anyone. Go little bit early RTO Koramangala starts at sharp 10AM. What i suggest for u is 1st pay a visit to the RTO to the May i help u desk and talk to the guy in the counter u will get the complete picture and in the second visit get ready with all documents and get it done, its a matter of 2 hours of work.

Need any details further do post

Please go for doing the registration on ur own its just a simple process, all it costs is a leave of a day or half a day from ur office. At the end of the day u feel better for not paying bribes, being responsible and ofcousre saving alot of money. By the way which car are u planning for?????

Thanks and Regards

Arun
