Hi,

I'm looking into buy a new hatchback in about a month's time. I've reviweed for all the available options from this very site.

I have a budget of 5 lacs and would ideally like to have a model with inbuilt CD and all the other regular amenities (power steering, central locking, power windows etc). My monthly usage would be around 500 kms and once a month trip along the expressway.

I'm confused between these models. Could you please with your expert opinions on it.

i10 Sportz

Ford Figo Titanium

BeatLT

Also, if I'm willing to extend my budget how would the Nissan Micra be against these cars?

For your run of 500 km per month, petrol car is preferred. Ford Figo petrol version is a flop model. Beat LT has got some performance issues as well as the service network is limited. Go with i10 Sportz. Great car to own.

For convinient movement of 4 people, I-10 is perfect city car. You can also take it for small weekend trips. All the best.

Thanks for your help, Guys!

While going for the i10, should I go for the Sportz model (is the inbuilt audio system worth the extra spend?)

Or should I just settle for the Magna model and then get a good audio system fitted from outside?

Hi comapared to Magna, Sports model has two another more important features than Music system and i.e. Rear Wash-wiper and Defogger. These two features are not possible to get from outside accessory shop like Audio system. The Audio system provided by I-10 is not that good, just average. So now you have to decide what you want. Rear washer-wiper is more important in your area, I believe. So decide according to your need. All the best.

The sports would be a preferred option if you are okay with the sound quality of the music system. I guess the sports is around 40k more than the magna but in this extra price you get a music system along with a defogger and a rear wash wiper. So it is a very good deal in all respects. However if you o not like the sound quality then its a completely different story.

I would say go for i10 Sportz, especially the one with the "red-beige" interiors! They give an awesome look man! I am thrilled to own one! Driving one since last year.

Regarding Music system quality - how will that matter? A slight difference here and there will be hardly noticeable , when you are enjoying the drive with family .

The defogger and wiper are 'must haves' in heavy rains/fogs!

They call me N10! ;)

On a serious note..I am not happy with Sony system in my i10. Does it make any difference if the speakers are on the doors inside or they are back. Someone told me that if the speakers are embedded inside the door, the sound quality is not that good and the same speakers put at the back can deliver good sound. is that true?

My personal experience is that the speakers at the rear are more effective than the ones on the doors. If you have speakers at the rear then they tend to give better output is what I have always experienced.
