Get it done by windshield experts. Which city are you from? Here I would bet on WE anyday. They do the job as good or professional as any service station, and within very less time. Also, their cost is lesser compared to the Hyundai people. Its quite obvious that your dealer cannot replace it under warranty as it has happened due to a stone hit. It is ok to get the windshield replaced by them, as WE stocks original equipment glass.
@Sankalp - Have you had experience with Windshield experts(WE) in Bangalore (near Madivala police station)? How good are they?
My 20days old Punto has a crack on the windshield which happened in the parking lot overnight. It seems to be a stone hit.
WE says it will cost Rs.6320/-. It will be ASAI brand windshield that fits for Linea/Punto.
Fiat ASSC says it will cost Rs. 8500/-
Right now WE don't have the stock (he called up multiple WE in the city and said no stock).
ASSC says they can fix it in 3 days time. They also cant cover it under warranty as it is a stone hit.
Both WE and Fiat ASSC are new to me (as it is a new car). So want your opinion on which one to choose as you hail from bangalore.
I think i will not void the warranty for Windshield by fixing it outside, as it is not covered under warranty. Please confirm if i am correct here.
