How about spraying a room freshener after using the tobacco on the interior, i believe it will drive away the foul smell . Also letting outside air inside the cabin and opening the windows slightly will serve the purpose.

The hot blower works on my innova and wagonR but surprisingly doesnt work on my Opel Corsa where it is most important (FE ).

The heater works but defogging the front windshield is only possible if I switch on the ac.Can some light be shedded on this?

It is because the AC dehumidifies air. Hence, using dehumidified air will help absorb the moisture condensation on the windshield. When we close the windows, the water vapour we exhale gets condensed on the glass windows due to its cold temperature. Hence, using AC with either cold or warm air will instantly remove any mist that is present on the windshield

Hi Mahesh

Advisable if you are a smoker and like the smell of Tobacco , A big no no if your family travels along with you , the smell will be quite there and non smokers will not able be to bear it but very true will keep the fog away !

Regards

Mathew

I have never used tobacco but have seen one of taxi driver doing when we were on trip to Dapoli. I was just trying to refer to the earlier post. Smile. Colin does my job good for windsheild & AC / deffogger depending on the fog suits me the best till date

Hi Jacob, There is only one method to prevent mist formation in glass of your car when its raining and that is to quickly switch on the AC.Hot blower or fan mode will not work.Mist is formed when rain is fairly heavy and its not sensible to roll down your window a little bit as its of no use. Incase your car was kept parked in the rain and mist already is fomed even then use AC but it will take upto 10 mins for mist to clear. If your car already has rear defogger it will take care of rear glass, but for front windscreen glass and windows its only AC which comes to the rescue.

regards

Sandeep

If your car will allow it the best is to turn on AC and heat at the same time while using the defogger setting.  Using the AC dehumidifies the air, then the heater makes it hot and increases its ability to absorb moisture.  Bye-bye annoying fog.

Not all cars can do this, but for those that will the setting is usually temperature to warm or hot, AC button on (if present), and the mode setting to defog.  Some cars without a separate AC button will activate the AC automatically in defog mode, while those with an AC button generally require that it be set to on if they support this.  The defog setting is also important.  If the car does support this mode of operation as a general rule it won't use the heater and AC at the same time unless the mode is set to defog.

I have seen that my windows cloud/fog inside during rains. Even though I direct the vents towards the front glass and turn on the a/c to cold, I find that the front glass and windows coud/fog. PLease suggest how to avoid this.
