hello,

i was thinking that only indian car companies have launched their suv cars(ie. safari, scorpio) within a bracket of 10-13 lac. can any1 tell that why none of the foreign brands have launched their suvs in india at  this price.

Probably because the quality and features that they give in their SUVs cannot be priced at such a low range. For Safari and Scorpio the manufacturing is done locally and hence the price is also low. Not necessaily the case with international SUVs

Its depends on lots of things. foreign companies needs to pay taxes and custom duties to sell their vehilcles out here.so, it becomes the added cost for them.which definitely comapny will add into vehicle cost.it happens to indian companies too.when they sell their vehicles in foreign companies.so its not possible to sell the car in other countries at similar cost as the local companies out der

I think they know it very well that indian roads are not ready for their products also if they bring their cars here in india they will face many problems...

actually, earlier toyota had launched qualis, which was a huge success and was in low price range also.

is ford endeavor and other suvs of this range being assembled here ? or they are directly imported into india?

As I think that the market of the SUV  is not as big as that for the comact cars due to the low fuel efficiency as compaire to the other small cars. And the second thing is that of price which I totally agree with the centaur.
