I have replaced the stock with Yokohoma tubeless 175/70/R13.  The pick up has dropped. Is it due to tubeless, soft tyres are due to increased width of the tyres?  Can I increase the air pressure to gain back the lost performance? Please guide.

Increasing the tyre size will definitely have an impact on pick up. It is better to maintain the company specified tyre size for Indica as it is not a high powered vehicle. However, tube or tubeless doesn't make any difference.

I agree with Sairam. Indica is a under powered car so its better not to change its tyres.

Thanks for the feedback.

I have already changed the tyres and experienced drop in performance.  Couple of days back I increased the tyre pressure by 2 for front wheels and by 1 for the rear wheels.  Now the performance is back to almost normal.  Steering is as easy as it was earlier.

I do not know the effect on either the suspension or the tyre itself. But right now it is satisfactory.

for some cars the tyre upsizing becomes useful.and for some cars it becomes bad.for my indica,i just upsized my tires to 165/70/r13. it helped me in handling and ride comfort not in declining the pickup.better keep the tyre to 165/70/r13Smile
