Sony Xplod through aux plays only beats and music but not vocals

@giri, try the WD-40 first. Dirt/dust/oxide is a major problem for electronic equipment and a great many issues can be traced to this. Especially true where ever there are interconnects or any sort of mechanical contacts involved.

Is it fine & Safe to spray WD-40 directly into the AUX port?

Just bought an MX aux plated (gold plated) and tested it with my system. 

Works absolutely fine. Crystal clear sound.

Costed me 350 bucks.

Finally I can heave a sigh of relief.

I guess that was a typo. AFAIK MX cables are available for rs. 35 or so, 50 at the most. However they may have these speciality "gold-plated" ones too, not sure though.

There are different variants in MX. One comes with thin wires, and huge pins. These are very prone to oxidation as well as the pins loosen out of their moulding. This one costs between Rs. 20-40 depending upon place and bargain. The same brand also manufactures higher grade cable, whose rubber is highly flexible and thick and also houses gold plated contacts. This costs Rs 50 upwards. Anything above 100 for these is a rip off. Attaching pic for differentiation.

Well, WD-40 can usually be safely used in electronic items - I have used it many times to fix scratchy volume controls, relays, switches and other things. However just be judicious with it, don't spray too much of it.

Yeah it costed me 350. the chordsare really thick and the jacks quite sturdy n sits firmly. I dunno the market price as such. Did not enquire much. Jus bought it off the shelf from a local store as the guy guranteed that he would take it back if it didnt work.
