Hey John, Since you have a higher budget, here  is what i suggest

1. Head Units - Alpine INA-W900 - Navigation system with DVD player, LCD monitor, digital player and radio (If you dont want video, you can get some high end players from kenwood and alpine)

2. Front Speakers - Rainbow CS 230.25 | Rockford Fosgate T3652 | Mb Quart Qs216 (personal favorite) | Focal Access 165 A3

3. Rear Speakers - If you are going to drive all the time, You really dont need a good rear speakers. You can just have the Stock speakers as fillers. But if you sit at the back seat, i suggest you install components on the rear too.

4. Tweeters - Comes with the Component speaker

5. Sub-woofers - You need to have 2 of them to have the extreme bass. You can go with Kicker | Infinity or JBL

6. Amplifier - You need 3 of them. 2 Mono Amplifier to power the Subs and 1 4 way for the speakers. Brand: Its better to go with the brand of the sub and speaker you select. Remember Amps will probably be the most expensive for you.

7. Wires - Get the Best quality one like Monster. The installer will guide you on this.

8. Place where you can get them - Since you are in Chennai. I know a really nice installer where i got my car done. I can introduce you to him. He should be able to guide you on where to source it and will probably give you a better set of items.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Regards,

Rishi Lesh

hai rajesh.. i wish to know if u have got the ambient model or the elegant one coz the elegance model has two speakers already in it....!!

Rishi.kesh

Thanks a lot... u just said exactly what i was looking  for... i was looking forward to get the Rockford fosgate T3652 component speakers... two at the front and two at the rear.  well dint decide regarding the subs yet. my first task is to get the four component systems and a suitable 4-channel amplifier... i would be purchasing the sub and 2 mono amp after a month only... well, i have 2 doubts.

1. the speaker is 125 watts. and 600 watts amp is for running 4-100 watts speakers. and 800 watts amp is for running 4-150 watts speakers. my doubt is as to what to go for. the 600 watts or the 800 watts?? as the speaker is 125 watts.

2. i thought of going for a 2-channel amp for the two subs. which would be better? one mono amp for each or a 2-channel amp for both??

I'm not going for the headunit as of now as my model is already coming with a head unit. and for the dvd and video i have planned to go for a 5" GPS system which is supporting bluetooth and dvd and able to connect the music system with the screen. a touch screen one. it is also supporting reverse parking screen too and is along with the reverse camera. MapMyIndia. Cost - around 20k.

Regards.!!

First i had selected classic only. After that i changed my opinion to elegance. but i dint get my vehicle still.

im not much sure regarding the headunits... but for the speakers u can go for JBL ones. it costs around 4,000. but getting a good head unit will cost around 8,000... and if ur budget is 12k, u can buy speakers only for 4,000. that is tough. or u can get two component speakers of JBL GT6-S266C. but it costs around 6,000 each. or u can go for cheaper ones. full range speakers of JBL .
