Pete's kit is a plug and play piggyback ECM. Cost will  be 28K for the swift. The midrange is what is actualy that is boosted so the 'kick' remains till 4ooorpm.

The cost to benefit ratio is not that great, also there has been reviews with issues with fueling.

Hi Shiv,

I can suggest an alternative. I have recently purchased a tuning box from Germany. www.Racechip.de. We have another member 'avijitdas.23' who has bought the same. The cost breakup is 129 + 45(shipping) = 153 EUR. And since I too am in Bangalore, you will have to pay an import duty of Rs. 2666. So a total of RS. 11727.30. Thats quite cheap compared to Pete's box. Even cheaper than another chip offering from RaceDynamics in Bangalore which costs around 20k. But I haven't driven any Peted car, so won't be able to tell you the difference in the performance of these chips. I am experiencing a certain amount of power increase and also having to change gears less frequently. I will have to do a couple of tankful tests to get the exact mileage improvement if any.

Hi Human.Wheels,

Many thanks for your sugession, i would like to have more feedback on Racechip, how has it been on the performance  and FE. Have you faced any glitches and from how many moths have you been using this?. Your advice would really help me to make a decision.

Regards

Shiv

Hi Shiv,

I have only been using for the last two weeks. As I said a slight increase in power can be felt. But too early to comment on the FE part. Lets see.

You may go through this thread to know more about it. The owner of this thread is also using the same chip.
