superb handling ,the best u can get from an alto

without disc brakes !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! alto comes with front disc brakes& booster assisted

no low profile tyres for indian roads & alto suspension is already not so comfy ,

K&N & freeflow for all vehicles are now available freely in the market u can find it in every car accesory shop in coimbatore,b'lore, chennai, bombay , delhi

Alto generally gives a mileage of 20/21 on highway if driven steadily at 70/75 kms ph.

Hello everyone!
I am not really aware of the technicalities like you guys but Iv been driving an alto for 3 years now (16000Kms), i took the top end one then but the steering seems to be power assisted but not really a 'power steering' as one would call it. I use my car only in the city so i wanted to fit in a power steering making my maneuvering much easier. So please give me your views if i should go for it or not, and if you are aware, please give me the price too
Hoping for a faster response as i am really eager to get this done.
Thanks

I dont think Alto really needs a power steering the one which comes with the latest Lxi has the PS which is very nice and as far i know this needs to be done at the Maruti exclusive showrooms only. i would say you can try driving the new alto and see the difference before you get this changed, i too own the alto Lxi and Chevy Spark but i dont see much diff in the turning radious with PS.

Power Steering doesn’t give better Turning Radius – it only helps in better handling & behaviour.  The Turning Radius (minimum) in LX & LXi is same (4.6 meter).

well Sidhesh , really don't try for a heart transplant for your alto. it takes a lot of time and money and who knows if the new heart is good or bad for your car. And RTO doesn't approve so you don't want to do that. instead you can get performance parts like Airflow , Exhaust etc.
There is a fuel economy package in
www.performancezone.co.in . The parts will give you 15% - 40% more mileage and 10%-60% more power depending on the parts you choose. The approx. cost will be around 24k .
