Can some give a trust worthy agent number from pune to get my bike transferred to pune.

Also one more question , If I am planning to stay for only one year ,do I need to pay the full life time tax and also entry tax bcs my bike is 8 months old .

What if i had to stay after 1 year, can I get the registration later.

Pune/Maharashtra does not have provision of accepting 1-year tax (like a few states have).  You will have to pay life-time tax as applicable to old vehicles on depreciated value assessed by RTO (Pune).  While relocating back within a year, you can seek pro-rata refund of the same.

If you stay back beyond 1-year, you will have to get it re-registered there (tax is already paid).  For the purpose, you will have to seek NOC from Bangalore.  In that case, you can seek pro-rata refund of tax paid earlier (Bangalore).

Also go through this thread/discussion & the links provided therein (Pune RTO & MC).

In May 2008 I had taken a No Objection for my MH-02 car from Mumbai RTO and wanted to transfer it to Chennai. But thereafter I did not transfer it and the car is still in Mumbai.

Now will I have to contact the Mumbai RTO for cancellation of the No Objection? Or is it that the Form 28 that was issued by Mumbai RTO in May 2008 has already lapsed at this point of time?

Can someone show me a direction?

Though the NOC has expired, your car would still be endorsed as transferred to Chennai RTO.  You need to get the NOC cancelled & get the registration revalidated in Mumbai RTO.

Hello Friends..

First of all.. Woowww.. What an informative thread.. I have reading about bike transfer for many days.. This thread really helped me understand a lot.. I have few doubts.. Please guide me..

I have 1 year old CBZ Xtreme bought at showroom price 59k in Chandigarh.. Now, I got my transfer to Pune and will be staying there permanently..

According to my understanding, I have to get NOC from Chandigarh cost around 2000 /-

Road tax in Pune cost = 4000/- Rs

Transport charges = 2000-3000 /-Rs

I am guessing it will be easily around 10,000/- Rs. + Lot of running around + Agent fees..

So, I am really confused between selling the bike in Chandigarh only and buying new in Pune OR going with the re-registration procedure??

I am really confused.. I have to leave Chandigarh on 23rd July.. Please help me..

What will be the approx total cost of whole procedure?? If I go through agent, will it be easier job or lot of running around???

Please help....
