Hi Kunal, Driving in eco on mode will definetly help you in getting a better mileage , My odo avg mileage says 15kmpl now , I follow the car instructions to change the gear , In first and second i do not accelerate much and above that i do in a very linear manner , Btw , let me ask you , where you driving a petrol vehicle before ?, if yes then you need to slightly change your driving style , if no , then i may assume that your traffic really very bad. First service only @ 2000kms , now i have only crossed 400+ . I should confess that upgrading of tyres really amazing in ride quality and cornering Regards Mathew

Yes i was driving wagon R before but, even me too following the gear change instructions and not accelerating it in 1st and 2nd gear. Probably its the traffic problem and as i told i drive only 30 km a day and its not a highway road also. yours must be a good route and with smoother traffic.Just hoping it improves a bit after 1st service.

But the positive part is that the car is really smooth and have all the comforts in driving, music system is too good. Will plan very soon for a holiday nd drive at nearby places within 500kms range to feel the comfort of fluidic verna at its max.

Regards

kunal khanna

MathewK: As said by one great man Its Never late to say Congrets Wink, Here I wish you all the best & enjoyment with your beauty.

BTW which series of Yoko's have you put. I could also see Michelins in one of your pic. Any perticuler reason why you didn't choose them over Yoko Undecided. They are suppose to be the best in business except softer side walls.

All the best.

@Kunal : I think heavy trafic is culprit in your case otherwise 14 to 20 Km/ltr in City & Highway is quite normal in todays generation diesel cars.Take her for a spin on Highway & post your expereince. All the best.

Yes I did get it , remote is as big as my TV remote , good thing is that it will not get lost in the car if it had been a small one we need to search always ! Ipod cable quality is really good .

Hi

This morning , a bike guy hit my ORVM , luckly it has dual movement - either sides hence no damage . After hitting my car the bike guy zoomed away, did not even turn back to see what happend !

Coming Friday planning to go to Nagpur and to Durg. Apx 750kms from my place . Never drove fom Hyderabad to Nagpur , hope that the roads are good. Can anyone throw some light on the Nagpur higway. Already clocked 450kms . Mileage now showing 13.9kml ( city ) .

I am not happpy with wiper blade , very sleek and thin , I wonder i cannot use it for more than one monsoon season. Wish they had given good ones , Visibility is an important factor when driving specially on highways.

Sunday was the most horrible day of the year , My maid banged at my door early morning apx at 6.30am , I woke up and open the door and as I was about to get angry with her about the door being banged so hard , she told me that New Car Fluidic RHS door glass is broken , immediately i rushed to the spot out side my gate to see my car , The RHS driver side glass was broken , however nothing else was damaged , The milk man who drops milk at my home told me that  there are 5 others cars which were parked outside ,all their glasses are broken and few cars music system is missing.  I immediatekly called the CI - police , He send an Headconstable to see my car and we both  went to see other cars and the sight i saw was not at all good , few cars  HU fitted from outside  ( not company fitted ) were stolen and door glasses broken . One of the NRI home , no body stays there was looted too . I had to go the church  , I called my bro and requested him to get his car so that we could go to the church.

I immediately called the Hyundai Service station , and informed that same and requested for a RHS door side glass, The service manager told me that it will take minimum 7 days to get it , Max being 20 days. I tried calling all the service centers in hyderbad but in vain , all had the same story to tell. Even I though of fitting it from outside , even those guys had no stock of it and it would take min a week to get and they said they will try and not sure of it .

My car hardly Ten days old , I cant take it out because of no RHS door glass availabity.I cant drive it with out glass as its raining here , and rain is not predictable at all like the english weather   I checked the price of the glass it is costing INR 1048. Sometimes price does not hurt you as much as it hurts not driving your new car as its damaged . I was planning to go to Nagpur and Durg to visit my family , I think now I have to go in my brothers car !

After close to 11 years , i got in to an Auto to go to my office ,  I was feeling happy because , here i was not driving , i was driven , I had goose bums as I could recollect my school and college days with friends where we travelled to places and went to movies in the auto with friends. Great experience it was . Good Auto guy just charged me what the meter read.

Sometimes its a great to have a New car and sometimes its a nightmare ! , All this put together I call it experience ,

Regards

Mathew

Mathew: Certainly not what you look for in any ownership thread. Really sad for you & your car. Hope you are able to FIX your issues quickly.

BTW intigrated music system certainly works wonders in such cases.

On Saturday , I did get the number plate  and also i got the seat covers  done ! The car interiors look prettier with the new seat covers ! . Initially they got the old Verna seat covers , later when they saw the car realized that it was new Verna and then went back and got it stiched a new one in just 2 hrs . They fixed the seats covers with in an hour . They took much time in unsrewing the car seats than putting the seats covers . Professionals guys I must say ! though they not had  a single drop of water for the day due to Ramadan , but their determination to get the seats fixed was really appreciatable.! As the weather was not conducive I have not put the sun film. The guy advised me to put in on a sunny day !

Already I have clocked 600 kms . Very comfy drive in city , and mileage 14.75 kmpl

Regards

Mathew
