Friends,

This thread is really valuable one and encourages people to go for Ford..

I was really bowled over by Figo.. but for want of boot space.. i opted for Fiesta Classic Diesel..though my heart still beats for Figo.. since both are from Ford.. iam ok.. any comments..

Because iam bit disappointed on missing out Figo though i lik Fiesta Classic as well..

If you can stretch to the classic then why are you missing the new fiesta? It a hell of a car. Bargain and ford will give you crackling discounts on it. You can opt for style variant. What you will get is a new global car with far sleeker looks, dynamic and fun to drive, refined and more efficient engines, low NVH, better music system and fatter tyres.

Hi Sidh, Giri.

Thanks for the suggestion..

Now since Petrol has been De-regularized and the price of petrol is going high compared to diesel. We have seen the effect in 2010 and 2011 where price of petrol was increased more than 5 times.
Year                       Petrol         Diesel
Feb 27 2010            47.43         35.47
Apr 01 2010###      47.93         38.10@
Jun 26 2010            51.43         40.1
Jul 01 2010             51.45         40.12
Jul 20 2010             51.45         37.62@@
Sep 08 2010           51.56         37.71
Sep 21 2010           51.83         --
Oct 17 2010            52.59         --
Nov 02 2010            --             37.75
Nov 09 2010           52.91         --
Dec 16 2010           55.87         --

### Petrol and diesel with 0.005 percent sulphur introduced leading to marginal increase in retail prices.
@ Price increase due to increase in local levies.
@@ Prices reduced in Delhi due to reduction in local levies.

HOWEVER The current cost of petrol is 73 and for diesel is 46 in Karnataka.Frown

If the same trend continues then Petrol prices will be much more in coming years as it is De-regularized and diesel prices will be in control atleast for near future (5Yrs). In this situation will it be better to go for Diesel car and keep car for 6 years. Monthly run will be 400 Km. Now in News paper there is an article that says Pertoleum prices set to Zoom. Please share your views and correct me if I am wrong.

Hi Friends,

I got my Figo Diesl EXI on dec 16, till now i clocked 1000km. I would like to share my driving experience with you guys.

1) Excellent ride quality and body control even you touch 100+ speed.

2) I was surprised with the steering feedback it gives @ sharp curves, narrow roads, as i covered my first few km in ghat road it was splendid experience with Figo on ghat roads.

3) It even better in city traffic, i live in hyderabad, even in bumper to bumper traffic you can happily go in 2nd gear, i go to 1st gear if i have stop completely until then u can stay in 2nd gear, and gear ratio is awesome as it supports very low RMP in 3rd gear!!!, so frequent gear shifts can be avoid with Figo.

4) Next come to FE: I am completely satisfied with this as i have got 18 in mixed conditions of City and Highway with AC is on always.

5) The last but not least, which is about maintenance: as i covered only 1000km, so i cant comment on this but what i can say is if any car hanled single handedly then we can reduce lot of extra costs incurred!!! Maintain good RPM ratio always, better to go around 80-90s in highways, then you wont find major issues for a longer period.

Drive safe!!! All the best guys...

review :-

clocked arnd 8000km in 3 months

1.Engine sounds perfect and driving pleasure ,handling is good

2. fe earlier used to get around 20 kmpl in city 10% ac but these days fe has come down to 16-17 kmpl 10% ac...dont know y but will ask the service ppl whn i go for the 10000km service.on highway it is 18-19 might be becoz of going uto 140 ...

3.dash board seems to get little noisy ,plus some sort of sounds comes from both front windows when window is opened half .....when the window is totally closed or open there is no sound....

4.tyre ppressure is concern ...i keep arnd 33 in all the 4 ...n have seen few ppl using the nitrogen gas...they say its good for both tyres n fe ..

rest giri n sindhu are doing the best things by letting every one read there experience n suggestions so that they can have every bit of happieness from FIGO....

@sairam ...if the scrathes are not big then it can be usefull to do that ....

like giri has told earlier some sort of polishing cream which you have to do it urself ...but the thing is that if you do it on a regular basis ..

in the service station they gonna charge you arnd 2500 n there would be combo offer of not sure but would be near about 5500-6000 over the underneath rubber coating plus body polish 2 times a year.
