@Vikas - I guess you meant to ask that to Pranay. I don't have a city.

Hi Pranay / Rohit:

Thanks for raising this concern out here. I have New Honda City 2009 July Model. I had got the CNG fitted in March 2010. I am also facing the same issue that the fuel gauge drops even when the Car is running on CNG. I have tried following steps to sort out this problem.

1) Got it checked at Honda Service Center (they said new iVtech has this problem)

2) Got it check with Honda Roadside Assistance (they also replied the same)

3) Even then i got the emulator replaced (but the still the problem persists)

4) I got the fuel injecting unit checked (petrol doesnt flow into the injectors when car battery is turned on)

it's been more than 1 and half year, i have been trying to find out the solution of this problem, i did check the other users also who are using the same model car with CNG, they are also facing the same issue.

But the thing which confuses me is that, Only 1 user told me that he is not facing this issue. I took my car to that place from where he got the CNG fitted but they were also not able to fix. Not sure that whether this particular not bothered about this problem or didnt notice the same.

If anyone can help with this, it would definately be great.

Regards

Divyanshu

I have checked all who got normal CNG kti installed in I Vtech are facing the same challange. Solution to this is to have a Lovato Emulator specially designed for this from part no. 1180004. I am unable find it with any dealer in Delhi. Can anyone help me to find one, or suggest a dealer who would have this?

Well, is it something that's causing safety or reliability issues? If not then as long as everything works normally in petrol mode, i'd advise against any more tinkering.

Hi Rohit,

Thanks for the advice, this is a additional emulator (small device attached to exsisting emulator) no other alteration.

Divyanshu - I had a word with autogas owner he is authorised Lovato distributor and also in touch with company who manufacture some parts of CNG kit for Lovato. He himself own Ivtech and facing the same problem. He told me that he tried above mentioned additional emulator in Civic and it worked but not in Ivtech. He is in constant touch with Lovato and the other company which I mentioned above for the availability of successful solution for IVtech. I'll get on touch with him in a month or so for update. In case their will be any, I will update you. This defect is in every City Ivtech, so no worries and now as more & more city users are trying to get CNG installed, dealers are getting aware of this problem and hence are making effort to identify the solutions for the same. So hope for the best. In the mean while if you get to hear any solution, please keep me posted.

Regards,

Pranay
