When i replace the original wheels with alloy wheels, what to do about them?

is there any exchange facility available , or shall i keep it with me.

please suggest me some good shops in delhi for the same

Some shops do buy them from you but in my case, i kept it with me just so that when i sell my car, i can put them back and sell the alloy wheels seprately. Choice is yours. As for the shops, there is one real good shop in Lagpat Nagar, sorry i forgot the name, its next to the Hyundai showroom i guess, will let you know the name after some time. Or place called Singh Shoppe in east of kailash. They too have a good choice of wheels. If you go here then let me know as i might be able to get you a good deal.

@ Nitin

I had also done the same, just kept the stock ones with me so that while selling the car I can use it and keep the alloys.

@ Prasanth

I own a new ford Fiesta Classic Clxi and I opted for the company alloys as I liked its looks. At first they told me it costs 18500, and after sevral talks and negaotiation I got foglamps + Alloys for 19000, I think its a fair deal. The reson why i opted for OE foglamps mainly because of its quality, in outer market we will not get such quality foglamps.

Yes it is true that the Alloy Wheels looks more better than the normal steel wheels but this is not the only cause to fit the aaloy wheels to the car or the bike. There are some benifits of alloy wheel over the steel as

Alloy Wheels lighter then the steel wheel

Offeres smoother break

Dcrese the load so minimize the heat

Did not bend easily

can you mention something more on these points as just the statements dont make any sense. How do alloy wheels reduce heat or how do they help in braking when they are no way involved in it? Be more specific and clear while conveying your ideas/comments

@Mathew - I am not telling what is telling is incorrect but it requires atleast some detail added to it to make things more clearer. The second point reads "Offeres smoother break" which should actually be "offers effective/better braking ability (because of better cooling of the brakes)". The third point reads "Dcrese the load so minimize the heat". What does this imply here? Decrease the load of what? Minimise the heat of what and how? If he means that alloys are lighter than steel rims, then he has already mentioned that earlier in point 1. With "minimize heat" if he refers to better cooling of the brakes, then that has been indirectly/partially been mentioned in point 2. "Did not bend easily" with respect to/in comparison to what? So that is what I meant, to be more clear in mentioning things so that others can get a hang of it. Hope I am clear.

EDIT - just saw the link you have posted. It mentions about the brake cooling part as I already mentioned above. Thanks for the link though as it provides a good explanation
