I just booked my Grande Punto Active 1.2 petrol version today. I have been a great fan of Punto for a long time now. I have booked the Medium Grey variant, and it might take 20-25 days as this isnt a fast moving colour in Active, as per the dealer.

On researching the differences between Active 1.2 and Dynamic 1.2, it really doest seem worth the 40k difference. the only key difference is the rear power windows and the central locking. Fiat authorised central locking can be done for 9k from any Fiat dealer (if required). With this difference, it may not urge people to buy the Dynamic variant. I agree the Emotion Pack is a worth buy, but was out of my budget.

I should get the delivery of the car towards the end of June. I shall post further reviews, once i get my hands on the car Laughing

Regards,

Congrats Ajay, Punto is fantastic car. I'm having the same variant for last 18+ months and enjoying thoroughly.

Do not forget Pre Delivery Inspection (PDI) once the car gets available in the godown, but before registration.

Hi Guyz,

I got the car delivered after 60 days post booking, which was last wednesday. I had a tough time to get the car delivered. I have written to FIAT on the delivery issues and delays but havent got a satisfactory answer till date.

The car looks very good and the medium grey colour was worth the wait (FIAT claimed that the delay was because of the colour i selected). The power in the car is really good, and it is now saving me from the Mumbai rains . Yet to take the car out for a long drive, but the experience in the last 3-4 days was amazing. Will need to finalize on getting the Seat Covers, Audio system and the Central locking with remote fixed on the car (Active doesnt have central locking). Are there any other accessories, that you guyz feel will be a good buy?

Also need some suggestion to take up the delivery issues with FIAT to the next level. I dont want to leave it here, as I ended up paying more than what i was supposed to pay (when i booked the car in May)... Dealer says that the FIAT scheme has changed and hence he wudn't be able to do anything about this!

Regards,

Ajay

Hello,

A very belated welcome to the FIAT club! I have a Punto Active 1.2 Medium Grey. Just love the car and its performance. I haven't yet installed the central locking - really didn't feel the need. I got Blaupunkt Music System for the vehicle - sounds just great, especially for my kind of music (old Hindi songs and South Indian classical).

I am not at all surprised by the delivery issues. I was promised the car within a week (strangely, here in Ahmedabad, the dealer said that Medium Grey is a fast moving color and the electric blue is slow). It took them nearly 25 days to deliver. The loan formalties were really cumbersome - there were times when I seriously contemplated cancelling the order!

I too would like suggestions to take up delivery issues with FIAT to the next level. If you come across any piece of information, please let me know!!

In fact Electric blue has been discontinued long back. I have this rare color and we now call it 'Limited Edition'.Wink

hi guys,

I had a fiat palio for ten long trouble free years. before that I had a 1957 bug fiat. Then I decided to change my car and went round shopping extensively, i tried ford figo, volkswagen polo, toyota what is its name, nissan wats its name, swift ugh... how can they concieve a model which is like indian style squatting in the public... honda brio... and gave it the works.. not to mention i20 i 10, chevvy.. wats its name... .. and then fiat punto....

my decision was  well you rightly guessed fiat punto active...
