I want to sell my Indica Vista Aura Safire Petrol.

I reviewed it on carwale forum when I bought it but can't relocate my thread.

Here are the pictures I posted then:

http://www.carwale.com/community/photos/ViewAlbums.aspx?UserId=34191366708041

DOP: 25.6.2009

23000 kms.

Perfect condition. Very minor dents/scratches on sides.

I bought it for Rs. 3.90 lakh net + spent Rs. 25k on extras. K-speed Alloys, Fabric Covers, Pioneer Speakers, Autocop central locking, Extra 2 year warranty (still has 2 year warranty), Lamination/Rust Proof etc.

What can I get?

Thanks

Mani

Hi,

1) Try to sell it to an individual (maybe who knows you and knows that your car is really well maintained); you might get a much better price.

2) Are you buying another car, if yes, then you try for exhange and ask the Dealer of that new car to quote you the exhange price, if another Tata, then loyalty bonus, etc..

3) I think you can expect in the range of Rs 2.75 to Rs 3.00 lacs+.

All the best !

Unfortunately, no one wants to buy a Petrol car now. I was offered maximum 1.50 lakhs for my Safire and that was also declined later on. People don't even want to hear the word Petrol.

Everyone is buying Diesel cars. And I just read in the newspaper that Petrol prices will be raised again very soon.

When I bought my Safire in June'09, difference between Petrol and Diesel was just Rs. 10/-. Now its Rs. 34/-.  Diesel is almost half the price of Petrol and Diesel cars give more mileage too!!

My annual driving is just about 13000 kms and even then I will lose Rs. 50000+ a year for not having a Diesel car.

This is ridiculous!!!

Rs 150000 is redicolous price.

people are too obssessed with diesel cars even if they cant read numbers and running it requires to have advantage of lower diesel price.

IMO, I would go for 1.5 lakh petrol car than any 4 lakh diesel car as I save Rs 2.50 lakhs directly and even if we consider petrol is 80 and diesel is 45 in rupees Vista will go 80,000 km before diesel car equal petrol in money spent earlier.

Show this calculation to diesel obssesed customers.

I know one person who opted for diesel car when he has monthly running of 300 km. he brought diesel claiming it has high resale value. But it is common sense that if you plan to sell any car whether petrol or diesel you are suffering loss because of depreciation. Tongue out

Unfortunately, whether we like it or not, used car market does not follow any fixed formula for depreciation.  It is always supply and demand and right now petrol cars are under too much pressure due to very low demand and because people are driving lot more today than few years back.  Many used car dealers don't want to touch ,petrol cars no matter what brand, and what mileage and condition.  So seller has to take whatever they can get, if they are desperate to sale .

Best wishes.
