I am S K Manjunath.And a mechanical engineer my optional was automobile engineering in college. I live in Bangalore.I am into Distribution of Constrction equipments. I have been driving and riding since the age of 12.I love to drive and  ride fast.Driving started with Abmi then onto Fiat,Maruthi Van, Esteem,now Lancer.Near Future Cedia or Octavia Rider

Riding started with Royal Enfield Prince, lambretta, Yezdi,CBZ,Pulsar 180 Karizma, Honda CBR 600 F4i, CBR 1000 rr and now Suzuki GSXR 1000 2006.

I try to study almost every thing technically before I make a buying decision

Ashish this side. Previously was working as an automotive journalist with OVERDRIVE and now am an editorial member at CarWale.
Driving, riding, exploring new places, photography, motorsport, adventure sport and watches appear in my list of passions.
 I love to live out of my suitcase and jump at every opportunity to ventrure out to any godforsaken place. Travelling is just one part, exploring is another. I love to "explore" places rather than just travel. Have been a racer but racing is strictly limited to the tracks. Peg scraping on a bike to catching the oversteer of the car with a wank of the wheel, powersliding to hand-brake turns...thrills no end that I love to live.
Stunts are strictly for the 'stunt-able' areas and should not be practiced anywhere to everywhere. Here's wishing you all a lovely drive along.

Hey Ashish thats cool. With all these passions you have, I am wondering why you were not there at the Himalayan odyssey, that bullet tour to Ladakh held in june last year. I think Bertrand D'Souza from Overdrive was there. You missed it man, you would have explored a lot of places there. Best place for photography, motorsports and adventure. Or you have been there before??   Even I used to do all kinds of stunts, on my bullet and my car, but then one day came and I started loving my vehicles and my life after some close calls, so I stopped.

Such things sure are thrilling and have a high excitement factor associated to them. Bertrand has been a regular at Himalayan Odyssey as also in the Raid. I did not get a chance to be a part of the Odyssey but I have done a lot of riding and driving in the most insane places. Particulary liked Pang a lot. Also got to a chance to interact with quite a few army men. It is great fun, in all certainities, to go in a huge group, but explore it all alone and on a machine like the H.H. Passion and then you will respect the life you are living. And our soldiers. And mother nature.

In this regard I find myself an old horse even if I am just 25. God knows why but I always loved my life. I tested capabilities of my RXG very often but at the same time I was wary of any unfortunate thing too.

RXG.. and electrifying machine. And yes, took my friend's Passion all the way. Initially it started with Shimla, then gradually went beyond.. it sure gets hairy and maybe un-safe too, but the "piss-in-my-pants" feel is what you enjoy the most at the end of the day. Dying to do it on a KTM Adventure someday!

How about tagging along with our user friends to go to say... er.. the base camp of the Mt. Everest!! But now that China has decided to build a proper road to the same place, it might not be as much fun.. so lets try and go to Gangotari.. it is also a beautiful and virgin place! Wot say ppl!!! Oh.. forgot.. we're at work here.. c'mon.. get down with your stuff..

And the people there who are making roads(working with Border road organization and GRIF, hope these are the correct names) for us and for the safety of our beautiful nation. Its hard to breathe properly even after a walk of 10 steps there, and they work contineously all day long for a mere Rs.80/day. I saluted these people whenever I came across them and have a lot of pictures with them. They are everwhere, Siachen, Kargil, Khardung-La even in the worst of conditions they are working and its just because of them we and our soldiers can go there.

I know a person here in Jalandhar, Mr Navdeep Nagar, a med. representative, and he takes on this trip alone or with a friend every year on his very old "BAJAJ CHETAK" He goes to China's border, the world's highest motorable road, the chandra-tal lake and many other places on his SCOOTER, quite unbelievable, but its the truth. How about this Sharma Ji??
