Have done around 700Kms so far and i am feeling so nice to have owned this beauty of a car.

Yesterday, made a trip on the ECR till muttukadu boating and felt the power inside this one.

But wasn't able to push beyond 70K speed, as there were some kind of obstructions throughout the route.

I am having a feeling after driving, that the hood should have been on a shorter side, because it becomes a bit difficult to judge the hood.

It takes some time while to get the knack of judging the hood but dont worry, as once you get used to it its an easy job. You will get acquainted with the distance you must maintain and that will get embedded in your mind forever

I completely sympathise with your plight. My new Tata Nano which is little over a month old was extensively damaged by a rashly driven Toyota Innova. I too felt like thrashing the driver to within an inch of his life but let him go because he was a middle aged man travelling with his family.

Currently I am in the process of getting my vehicle repaired but still feel like Cry

Sorry parthai for your nano, but your nano will not have a big hood ( does it have a hood at all ! ), would like to know how it was a cause of the accident

Yeah, i agree with parthai, vehicles whether big or small , if they feel to overtake, they do  wherever and whatever means. I felt so nervous many times yesterday while slow moving or in  traffic, the MTC buses were like terror, coming very closely on the sides and in the rear.

On each side of the ECR two vehicles can run parallelly and the 3rd may be a bike and not any other one.

Yday i saw a innova on the middle of the road and a share-auto kissing each other by side ways, I think that the share auto guy tried to squeeze in from the right side when innova tried to swerve to the right ( in order to allow a vehicle to overtake from the left or he was forced to swerve to right )

Ha ha - No the Nano does not have a bonnet as such but you will have to judge distances without looking at the bonnet. It takes practice but it can be done. Like your new car being hit by a Santro, even my car was hit at the back almost near the engine by a rashly driven Innova who did not bother to check if anyone was on the main road.

Hi,

Review of Car Completed 1300kms after 4 months of ownership.

Been using this beauty from May 2011 and to simply say i am in love with my humble machine.

Of late have gained immense confidence on the road that the Ist and IInd gear are only for movement( where i was driving only in them with clutch holding in my starting days)and today i just zipped and overtook a share auto and couple of other cars and boy! it gave me so much boost ( without drinking boost )

Overall K10 is very well suited for those who like to quickly zip in traffic and go to point A to Point B without much fuss.

Highway drivind done couple of times , most of them 100kms , no compaints so far, and the cars India service is also good.

Overall i feel so happy to own this cute machine. Love Maruti.

Hi All,

After the first long drive, i wanted to post my experience here. My ODO shows 2600 now after 7 months of ownership

It was a 600km drive and my K10 behaved so well and it took us safely and returned safely.

I am not a speed lover, also conscious on mileage. So, kept cruising at 80 constantly on the highway and it returned me a mileage of 18kmpl (with A/c 60% without A/c 40%)

At times i had to drive in big potholes and the chassis got hit few times, i was worried if it would have caused any problem, but this beautiful reliable one didn't trouble me at all.

I gave it for check-up on this saturday and checked the under chassis and found there was nothing to worry about. Water-wash, oil, water levels checked , Wheel alignment was done which cost me 300bucks.

All-in-all, i am falling more in love with my K10 , however, i have restricted myself to it only during weekends and for long drives as the city driving makes me hate driving in car.

Just wanted to add , that after this check-up and service, the drive was very smooth and i found a difference from earlier state.
