My friends in Bangalore used to complain that the cost of living is very high as compared to Hyd.
House rental is high,
Petrol cost is high,
Vehicle cost is high etc.
Now they got some reason to rejoice.
Shell petrol costs more in Hyderabad compare to Bangalore, Where normal petrol rate is still less in Hyd.
On 23rd of April I've filled my Figo with Shell Super Unleaded from Shell Varthur Road, Bangalore, Where rate was Rs. 75.45 per liter.
On 1st May I went to Shell Raidurg Gachibowli, Hyderabad and shocked by seeing that Shell normal petrol costing Rs. 78.95 and Super Unleaded costing Rs. 81.88.
Where normal petrol -BP, HP, IOC etc- costing around Rs. 65 to 67.
So I asked to the sales girl “Why rate is too high?”
Sales Girl “Sir, We are not getting any subsidy. That’s the reason rate is high”
“Are you getting any subsidy in Bangalore?”
“Don’t know sir”
“Ok, May I speak to Your Manager”
“Sure, Sir”

Manager Came and provided normal Shell greetings.
I told “Sir, See this is the invoice of Your Shell Bangalore, where your premium petrol costing 75.45 only. But here it’s 81.88. Why so”
“Sir, today only we increased two rupees”
“OK, you less two rupees but still it’s costing 80, where I’m getting the same from Bangalore by 75.45”
“Sir, We are getting petrol from Bangalore and we need to add transportation charges. That’s the rate difference.”
I shocked..
“Sir, are you procuring petrol from Bangalore shell Petrol pump with retail rate? And transporting the same through rockets? Otherwise I don’t see any reason for 5 rupees difference. ”
No answer from Manager and I’’m not expecting as well.
