HI Pradep,

I am extremely sorry for not having spare price list. Ihad it but not able to trace it at the moment.

I got the list from the dealer himself. I told dealer that I will not go for Fabia untill I am provided with the price list of spare parts. Dealer was very quick to provide me list of space parts. Actually he got it faxed it from Skoda office and cross checked with the list with the service station.

Spare prices are not astronomical currently, though it used to be. Example; Door of fabia will cost 8040 Rs where as Maruti Swift would cost 6800. There is a difference of 20-25 % for 70% parts for Skoda vis a vis maruti. Ford is costlier than Maruti, even mahindra long spares are very costly, costlier than Fabia.

I have one point to make.Skoda parts are of very high qulity, many parts are shared with the Laura. Many parts have Audi logo embossed on to it.

If your budget permitts, blindly go for Fabia. New Swift will cost somewhere 7.15+ OTR in Delhi, where as Fabia's top variant would cost you around 7.35-40 OTR in Delhi.

Fabia is superb car, handling, ride quality, fit and finish, very good AC, above average Stereo system.

I have one piece of advise: If you don't want to go for top variant, go for Ambience, get after market stereo, seat cover etc. Don't go by what dealer claims. U can get under body anti rust coating, teflon polish at after market places. Dealers make hell lot of money by dupng customers.  Do not buy any accessory from dealer. DO NOT BUY ACCESSORIES

This car is pretty costly in karnataka as the road taxes are very high approx 75000-95000...

Hello to all Fab owners.. After reading so much reviews (mostly -ve and few +ve) I am planning to buy FAB tis weekend (will be my first car). The only dealer here in Jaipur (SAGA AUTO) is quoting the on road price for Ambition Plus 1.2 HTP as 6.07 lakh. Over this he is giving discount of 20K and 5K as corporate discount. The standard accessories ie. mud flaps, foor mat, car cover and KENWOOD system (or can give 6K discount for this item). Thus the overall discount comes to Rs. 25-30K. In the previous month the same discount was 50K. So, is there any scope for further negotiation for discount or freebies... (teflon coating or sun film etc.) Also I am a bit confused about the color Red or Cappichinno Beige... Which would be good color in terms of grace and easy to maintain (Jaipur is very dusty city).. Thanks Harry
